I am looking for a full time assistant for YouTube creator Xyla Foxlin. This is an in-person (Burbank/NoHo) position with flexible hours depending on where we are in the production cycle. While this is an assistant position first and foremost, it is also one that will let you wear many hats and likely morph to your skill set as we get used to working together. This is a great position for someone who wants a decently flexible work schedule, enjoys making things and/or crafting, social media, or keeping people on track.
You must be extremely organized & good at organizing and keeping spaces clean, and willing to do standard personal assistant tasks.
Tasks:
-Keep office, house, and studio clean and organized
-Calendar, email, and messages management
-Track deadlines and sponsor deliverables
-Basic household and office chores
-Help film segments when necessary
-Source materials and run and grab them as needed
You ideally are:
-Extremely organized yet not bothered by some creative chaos in your life
-Have an excitement (but doesn't need to be an expertise!) for science, engineering, making things, crafts, art, or some combination of these things
-Passionate about creating opportunities for women in STEM
-Willing to get dirty and work on projects, hold a camera, or throw together rough cuts
-Active on social media and up with the trends (IG/TikTok)
-Genuinely enjoy cleaning and organizing
Bonus skills you should mention if you have them (but not required):
-Experience building things, making things, fixing things, etc
-Experience with Quickbooks
-Experience with 3D CAD software
-Experience with After Effects and other video editing tools
-Experience with power tools
-Has built a following on any kind of short form video platform
-Familiarity with the maker or scicomm community
