Description Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for a strong Controller to support our distribution company client on a four to six month primarily remote engagement beginning immediately. This will be a dynamic role, making you responsible for overseeing four team members, managing profit & loss, and assisting with a system integration.Responsibilities:

Oversee, manage, and coordinate all operations related to the four team members under the finance department.

Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual profit & loss statements.

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and reporting.

Assist in a system integration process (approx 50% complete), ensuring a smooth transition and minimal operational interruptions.

Identify and recommend cost-saving and profit-enhancing measures.

Work proficiently with senior management to set financial policy and direction.

Coordinate and strategize business planning, budgeting, forecasting activities.

Lead the continual improvement of budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues affecting their budgets.

Adhere to all financial regulations and accounting principles, ensuring company's financial and ethical integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or an equivalent field.

Minimum 7 years of proven experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in the distribution industry.

Knowledge and experience with Profit & Loss management.

Prior work experience on system integration efforts would be advantageous.

Skills:

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, subordinates and senior management.

High proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office must have advanced Excel skills.

Strong understanding of data privacy standards and financial regulations.
