OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Clinical Program Manager or Lead Urgent Response Supervisor, the Urgent Response Supervisor assists with administrative and programmatic oversight of a 24/7 Urgent Response Department (crisis phone and face-to-face support). The Urgent Response Supervisor ensures compliance with all SCH and department policies and systems, State, Sacramento County Department of Behavioral Health Services, and EPSDT and MHSA standards.

DUTIES:

Directly supervises assigned staff and provides regular supervision as needed as.

Ensures timely and thorough completion of performance evaluations in accordance with agency policy.

Participate in shift transition meetings to ensure the complete and accurate transition of information.

Assists with orientation of incoming staff to the program, Agency, County and State requirements and regulations.

Supports identification of training needs in department and helps to ensure appropriate training.

Participates in hiring, orientation/training and discharge process for positions as needed.

Assists Lead Urgent Response Supervisor and Clinical Program Managers with oversight and analysis of workflow levels and staffing levels needed to maintain service goals.

Ensures that all HR policies and standards are followed regarding personnel management that includes, but not limited to recruitment, training and orientation, evaluations, and employee discipline.

Assists with direct service coverage when necessary to aid delivery of services to clients and families.

Assists with training of new staff by responding to crisis calls in the office and in the community.

Supports program and county evaluations and systems of quality control.

Serves as a resource for program staff providing client services.

Ensures that staff are in compliance with contract and accreditation standards, Federal, and State regulations.

Monitors outcomes from internal and county utilization reviews and use data to ensure compliance with established standards.

Reviews client records and documentation for compliance, accuracy, completeness and quality improvement.

Ensures that all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.

Attends and participates in Sacramento Children’s Home meetings, training, and required activities.

Ensures program services and that staff follow an approved service delivery framework.

Assumes a supervisory role in administering, managing, coordinating and maintaining the program in collaboration with the Lead Urgent Response Supervisor and Clinical Program Managers.

Follows SCH policies and systems to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the program.

Assists with development and implementation of site-specific systems to ensure clear and effective processes.

Ensures timely submission of required staff paperwork (timesheets, mileage/expense reports, HR documents etc.).

Ensures that the use of identified service delivery practices; assessments, etc. are fully implemented and demonstrate fidelity.

Participates in the department emergency on-call system and provides administrative and clinical support to staff.

LOCATION: 2750 Sutterville Rd., Sacramento, CA 95820

SCHEDULE: Sunday – Thursday, 1:00 pm – 11:30 pm

SALARY: $79,060.80 - $88,932.65 annually, Plus an additional $7,500 annually if licensed.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Science and registered or in process of registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a LCSW (ACSW), MFT (AMFT) or LPPC (APCC) is required.

Licensed by the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LMFT, LPCC or LCSW is preferred. Meeting all BBS requirements for supervising interns within six months of hire is preferred. Some positions may be required to have licensure as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC.

No less than 3 years of experience working with children and family in social service programs is required. At least 1-year experience with EPSDT or MHSA funding is preferred.

Prior experience supervising and managing a diverse workforce is preferred. Previous experience in program development is highly desirable.

Driving is an essential function of this job. As such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required. Must be at least 21 years old.
