Description Our esteemed client in the biotech sector is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for their San Diego office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team to manage financial processes. This includes preparing financial reports, tax returns, and interacting with internal and external auditors.Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with established schedule.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts.
Assist with financial and tax audits, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Review and analyze quarterly and annual reports.
Assist in new process development and process flow analysis.
Coordinate with accounting team to ensure accurate and timely month-year-end close.
Assist the Controller in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required, a master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting and finance sector.
Previous experience in the biotech industry is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel and financial software applications.
Excellent organization, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work output.
