Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the hospitality industry located in Boston, Massachusetts. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounting Clerk, your key responsibilities will encompass a variety of accounting tasks, including handling accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, assisting with bank reconciliations, and taking on special projects as required. Responsibilities Assist in managing both accounts payable and receivable operations Handle special accounting projects as assigned Support the team in conducting bank reconciliations Assist with payroll processing tasks Adapt to various roles and responsibilities within a smaller business environment Utilize accounting skills to maintain accurate records and monitor customer accounts Resolve any customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner Ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications. Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Experience in handling payroll is essential Must be adept in performing bank reconciliations Strong numerical and analytical skills are required Must possess excellent attention to detail Proficiency in using accounting software is preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential Must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
