Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Plymouth, Minnesota. The individual will be working within the Manufacturing sector. The role involves processing and maintaining customer financial records, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring the smooth running of customer accounts. If interested, please call our office today - (952) 473-0373. Responsibilities: Efficiently manage and process both domestic and international invoices. Prepare and analyze Goods Received/Invoice Received (GR/IR) reports for purchasing teams. Oversee ledger accounts and handle vendor statements. Assist with colleague expenses and prepare financial reports. Analyze data and propose solutions to improve financial operations. Develop and evaluate accounts payable policies to ensure compliance with internal and external controls. Manage Vendor Master Data to enhance financial operations. Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning tools for efficient processing. Handle Account Coding and Accrual Accounting tasks. Conduct Auditing and utilize Automated Clearing House (ACH) processes. This role provides an opportunity for the right candidate to play a vital role in maintaining our organization's financial integrity. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will be vital in carrying out your responsibilities as an Accounts Payable Specialist. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge of Concur and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Ability to perform general Accounting Functions Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles Experience in Auditing Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience Relevant detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
