They work with ANSOS, and other related software systems. Provides staffing and payroll reports to Unit Managers, Administrative Directors and Chief Nurse Executive. Oversees Payroll and payroll function and coordinates support for the evening and night administration. Interacts with all level of staff, supervision and management. Collaborates with other staffing assistants on all aspects of the job. Responsible for training of new staff. Coordinates the duties of other staffing office personnel. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.Qualifications:Required:
High school diploma
Computer, word processing skills, telephone etiquette
Preferred:
Associates degree
Business office experience
Knowledge in medical field or knowledge of medical office, staffing, health care field
Scheduling Requirements:
Evening Shift
Rotating weekends and holidays
Part Time
Essential Functions:
Adapts to varying work requirements dependent on unit needs
Assists Directors of Patient Care in ANSOS training
Calling and assuring staff replacements
Collaborates with the Administrative Director of Patient Care of Finance and Unit Managers on staffing issues
Confers with the Administrative Director of Patient Care Finance, staffing daily and planning staffing based on requirements
Coordinates extraordinary weather conditions protocol
Maintains ANSOS and works on expansion of scheduling capabilities
Maintains ANSOS to assist with accurate payroll completion
Maintains confidentiality in all hospital related issues
Maintains daily records of census, activity, acuity and staffing needs
Maintains daily records of patients / nurses ratio and submit monthly electronically to DOH
Maintains expiration log as per policy guidelines, communicating with units and Medical Examiners office
Participates in the planning for orientation of new personnel
Processes paperwork for personnel action changes
