Our restaurant group is hiring a dishwasher/porter for our Gramercy Park restaurant. Previous experience as a dishwasher/porter in a full-service restaurant is essential for this person to be successful in this role.
Key Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:
cleaning and sanitizing dishes, pots, and utensils using commercial dishwashers
help maintain a clean kitchen, stocking clean dishes
general cleaning tasks like taking out trash, sweeping and mopping floors
handle all incoming deliveries - checking them in and unloading deliveries
ensure restaurant is completely clean at the end of each night
The ideal candidate has experience in a high volume restaurant and is knowledgeable around BOH best practices. They are energetic, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with the kitchen and the Executive Chef. The candidate must be able to stand on their feet for long periods of time and have no issues carrying items up to 50lbs.
