Description Company Description: Our client, a well-respected organization in the industry, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their dynamic accounting team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and invoicing.Job Description:As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing all invoices received for payments and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.Responsibilities:
Handle daily accounts payable functions such as reviewing and verifying invoices and check requests.
Sort, code, and match invoices.
Enter invoices into system.
Track expenses and process expense reports.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Prepare analysis of accounts.
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
Maintain vendor files.
Assist with month-end closing.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1-2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
Proficient in data entry and management.
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with accounting software is a plus.
