We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. A friendly personality is a big plus! The Patient Care Coordinator will maintain an excellent appearance that is polished, professional and appropriate for representing our organization. This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating care, and providing administrative support within a dental office setting. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with their inquiries.

Responsibilities

Welcome all patients with a smile and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience.

Schedule and confirm patient appointments while managing the office calendar.

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date.

Verify insurance and pre-authorizations as needed.

Submit electronic claims.

Enter EOBs accurately and payments in our PMS

Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up care.

Email referrals to specialists and x-rays as needed and document in patient's chart

Handle incoming calls, emails, and other correspondence in a timely manner.

Communicate with patients via phone calls and text messages.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in a dental office. (HIPPA, OSHA, etc)

Requirements

Dependability, punctuality, honesty, professionalism and strong work ethic.

Proficiency in dental terminology

Minimum of two years of dental insurance/front desk experience in an dental office

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with patients and staff.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Attention to detail is critical for maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.

Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
