We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Wealth Mangaement technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Writes automation test scripts for integration and end to end level for each module using (Rest Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Java, Cucumber)
Writes and reviews automation scriptsfor Web-Services Testing (SOAP and REST services using Rest assured and Java based framework)
Works closely with product team to prepare test data requirements, document and proactively work with different teams to setup the data
Identifies hidden problems and patterns in the automation pipeline that drives improvements for software deployment in an Agile environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Expert in writing automation test script for integration and end to end level for each module utilizing (Rest Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Java, Cucumber)
Expert in scripting for Web-Services Testing (SOAP and REST services using Rest assured and Java based framework)
Experience in end to end testing requirements for the products involving multiple applications and systems in an agile environment
Strong in preparing test plans, test data requirements and test strategies with product teams
Experience in identifying hidden problems and patterns within the automation pipeline driving improvements for software development
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiar with tools (PACT and Spring Cloud Contract for API testing)
Familiar with designing and building infrastructure tools for managing and storing test data
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Practical cloud native experience (AWS preferred)
Experience with Service and Data virtualization to innovate solutions for scrum teams across products to achieve end to end testing
