Assist with medical procedures and management of patient care: Perform basic lab tests, blood draws, EKGs, administer medications as directed by clinicians.
Prepare patients for examination, taking medical histories and recording vital records.
Maintain and order medical supplies and equipment, ensuring all are properly stocked and in working order.
Follow infection control protocols, ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, and maintain patient confidentiality.
Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding their health and treatments, and coordinate with other clinical team members.
An eligible candidate should have the following minimum qualifications:
Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program (Certified Medical Assistants preferred)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a learning and or healthcare environment

The rate of compensation for this position is $18.00 per hour. After the successful completion of your 90 day probationary period and clinical competencies, you will become eligible for a $1 increase to $19.00/hour. Medical Assistants also receive an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for working during weekends and holidays, as part of the rotation schedule.
