A Houston area recycling company is currently hiring a Front End Loader to contribute to the process of recycling metal materials. This company specializes in recycling ferrous & non-ferrous metals, non-hazardous waste, aluminum, and various other precious metals.
Location: Near I-10 East & Wayside Houston, Tx 77020
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 6 am - 6 pm
Saturday 6 am - 3 pm
Opportunity for overtime.
Pay: $18/hr.
Responsibilities:
The general public come to the company to sell and discard any metal material they no longer wish to keep. The company takes the incoming material and recycles it based on the type of metal it is. As a front end loader, you will:
Move metal materials throughout the yard to get them to their proper destination.
Separate materials based on the type of metal to assure they will be processed accordingly.
Note: This position is mainly entails manual labor with occasional utilization of the sit-down forklift.
Maneuver through tight spaces while maintaining control of the machine.
Inspect and test the loader for any defects or malfunctions.
Perform lead roles in the absence of the supervisor.
Follow safety rules and regulations and using protective equipment and tools.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating the front end loader.
Able to speak and understand Spanish.
Must be able to pass a background check, and drug test.
Able to constantly lift 25-60 lbs.
Able to work in inclement weather.
