Description We are searching for a Sr. Accountant to become an integral part of our team. Situated in Richmond, Virginia, this role involves overseeing a broad range of accounting tasks, from processing transactions to reconciling accounts. The Sr. Accountant will also handle a few HR duties, including onboarding and offboarding employees.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting duties with assistance from a quarterly CPA Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions Perform account reconciliation tasks, including balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations Record journal entries as part of the accounting process Manage monthly close procedures to ensure timely and accurate reporting Use software such as Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to maintain accurate records and perform data analysis Handle HR duties, including the onboarding and offboarding of employees Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate action as needed Maintain up-to-date knowledge of General Ledger functions. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Demonstrated experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries preparation Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas Experience with Month End Close processes Proficiency in using NetSuite financial software Familiarity with Oracle financial software Experience in using SAP for financial management and accounting Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred Proven track record of successfully handling large amounts of data, producing reports, and maintaining data integrity Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure Prior experience in a similar senior accountant role is preferred Demonstrated understanding of business principles and practices Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
