We are a well-established privately held real estate investment company on the mid-Peninsula (San Francisco Bay Area) seeking a full-time Property Accountant to manage tenant accounting, accounts receivable, CAM support, and core property financials across our commercial and residential portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
Tenant Accounting
Post tenant rent receipts and maintain accurate ledgers in Yardi
Pull aging reports and perform initial collections follow-up
Post rent increases, charges, credits, and adjustments
Process deposit accounting for move-ins and move-outs
Assist with CAM reconciliations and prepare tenant billbacks
Property Accounting
Post and reconcile third-party management reports
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Record debt service payments and support lender compliance reporting
Book recurring and adjusting journal entries
Maintain organized, accurate financial records
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of property accounting experience (commercial/residential)
Proficiency in Yardi required
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication
Ability to manage multiple priorities
