We are seeking a reliable, experienced home health attendant (female or male) to assist our 92 year-old mother with her daily needs in the home she shares with her daughter, son-in-law, cat and small dogs. Current shifts available are every Sunday 9 am to 9 pm and every Saturday from 3 pm to 9 pm with additional hours occasionally offered to cover gaps.
Additional regular shift(s) will likely become available over time for a dependable person.
The client is pleasant, alert and has a poor short-term memory. She is able to sit up in a wheelchair but needs assistance transferring to and from bed/toilet.
Duties include providing assistance with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), meal preparation, light house-keeping, fall prevention, and assistance transferring.
She is able to sit in a wheelchair but requires assistance while transferring. She is partially incontinent of bowel and bladder; has poor safety awareness.
