JOB DESCRIPTION
Operate heavy equipment as may be assigned, such as, but not limited to:
backhoes, dozers, excavators, skid steer loaders, compactors and paving, surfacing and asphalt spreader equipment.
Comply with Company and Manufacturer operating safety rules and regulations.
Fuel, grease and clean equipment of all trash at end of shift.
Communicate with dispatch daily to confirm next day’s assignment.
SKILLS & TRAITS
Maintain ethical standards of the highest level.
Professional demeanor, appearance and attitude.
Working knowledge in handling heavy equipment such as Caterpillar, John Deere, Ingersoll Rand, and Komatsu machines.
Physical fitness required to handle heavy equipment controls.
1 to 3+ years in commercial construction.
A post-secondary Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation or a 2-3 year
apprenticeship in the operation of Heavy Equipment is preferred.
