TRT DOES NOT OFFER ANY ONLINE COURSES. - (We do not have any recommendations on who to contact to attend an online course.)
TRT offers the "G" 8 Hour Range Qualification Course, which must be taken in person, after completing the initial online course.
You must be at least 18 years old to become a licensed Unarmed "D" or Armed "G" security officer. If you are 17 years old and just 1 month from becoming 18, you are eligible to attend this course.
State License requirements to obtain your "D" & "G" Licenses:
(1) Each individual licensed by the department must:
(a) Be at least 18 years of age.
(b) Be of good moral character.
(c) Not have been adjudicated incapacitated under s. 744.331
(d) Not be a chronic and habitual user of alcoholic beverages
(e) Not have been committed for controlled substance abuse
(f) Be a citizen or permanent legal resident alien of the United States or have appropriate authorization issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services of the United States Department of Homeland Security.
