Great opportunity for a Sous Chef looking for a new home. Camas is a progressive, small, SW Washington town, blessed with a great community and many corporate businesses. Our restaurant opened in 2018 and we have seen strong growth since the beginning. Large indoor space with a warm northwest wood vibe. Upscale casual, fine dining atmosphere. Offering lunch, brunch (Sat/ & Sun.) dinner, social hour (our happy hour) and banquets up to 48. Seating capacity is 280 with the outside patio. Cooking equipment includes Chefworks wood grill and Marsal brick pizza oven. Kitchen is well designed and built for speed. Our menu focuses on seasonality and fresh local / regional ingredients. We serve steaks, salads, burgers, pizza and more. Check out our menus on our website. Our bar offers 30 local micros and ciders on tap, as well as a broad selection of NW wines and small batch distilleries.

We run a no drama kitchen and have developed a strong crew. They work well with each other, and the servers and the kitchen support and respect each other. We are offering competitive pay, health, dental and vision insurance, and paid vacation. Plenty of free parking. Five day work week with pre-approved OT daily. Hours of operation, 7 days, 11:30am to 8pm, on Friday and Saturday to 9pmThe Hammond is closed on July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Years Day and Super Bowl Sunday.

The Hammond provides friendly, upscale service utilizing the classic steps of service. We pride ourselves to provide outstanding food and a cool vibe. Nothing is more important to us than a happy guest. Our business growth is no fluke, it's about consistent daily execution.

We prefer culinary school trained, but school of hard knocks works too. Must have held progressive positions with longevity along your way. Sous position in a restaurant or hotel or a Chef that looks to move to something bigger or a better vibe.You will most likely cross train at our sister restaurant, The Cove on the Columbia River. Quarterly bonus based on financials and performance.
